Job summary

The Driver is responsible for transporting individuals to appointments and programs in Pottsville, PA, reporting to the Transportation Supervisor. The role requires 16–20 hours per week with split shifts, typically mornings and afternoons, and occasional Saturdays. Wage is $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old with 2 years of driving experience.
Ability to drive a passenger van and follow safety procedures.
Willingness to comply with random drug testing procedures.
Knowledge of the geographic area the program serves.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Provides transportation services in a 15 passenger van between residences, programs, offices and employment locations.
Follows safety and regulatory procedures during vehicle operation.
Performs vehicle maintenance checks and keeps the vehicle clean and safe.
Provides support to individuals while upholding dignity and rights.
Learns and models trauma-informed care principles: safety, choice, collaboration, trust, empowerment.
Promotes diversity, equity and inclusion in daily operations.
