Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Technician for the day shift. You will assist the patient care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing direct patient care and basic clinical tasks in Cerner documentation.

Responsibilities include ADLs, specimen collection, simple tests, EKGs, and patient transfers. The role requires BLS, a high school diploma, and reliable attendance in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School graduate required.
• AHA Healthcare Provider Training (BLS) required.
• Adheres to hospital attendance policy and punctuality.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to patient care team under the direction of an RN.
• Performs activities of daily living including ambulation, meals, feeding, baths/showers.
• Collects specimens and performs limited tests per physician orders and policy.
• Performs EKGs, Foley catheter removal, and bladder scans under RN guidance.
• Maintains safety initiatives including hourly rounding and fall prevention.
• Documents care provided in Cerner and assists with transports and transfers.
• Transports patients and delivers nourishments; updates refrigerator logs.
• Completes housewide mandatory education and maintains BLS certification.
