Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, specimen collection, and basic tests per physician orders and procedures.

Responsibilities include caring for patients, transporting them, assisting with transfers and discharges, and ensuring safety. Strong communication and compassionate demeanor are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High School graduate is required.
• AHA Healthcare Provider Training (BLS) is required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Adheres to hospital attendance policy and punctuality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct caregivers under the direction of an RN.
• Performs activities of daily living (ambulation, positioning, feeding, bathing).
• Assists with specimen collection and basic tests as ordered.
• Documents care in Cerner and maintains safety protocols.
• Transports patients and assists with transfers/discharges.
• Monitors patient condition, responds to call lights, and maintains equipment.
