Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital in Westborough, MA seeks an admissions specialist to assess needs and route patients to appropriate levels of care. You will secure initial insurance authorizations and coordinate referrals for those not meeting medical necessity.

The role supports compassionate admission processes for patients and families, with a 24-hour shift pattern and a part-time schedule of 24 hours per week (Mon–Wed, 2:30pm–11:00pm).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in health related field preferred.
• Current CPR and CPI certification (or obtained within 30 days upon hire).
• Must be 21 years of age with a current TB test or medical clearance.

Responsibilities

• Complete mental health assessment to determine medical necessity and level of care.
• Provide referrals and recommendations for patients not meeting medical necessity for hospitalization.
• Complete initial insurance authorizations for newly admitted patients.
• Provide provisional DSM diagnoses supported by clinical documentation.
• Review patient handbook, rights, and informed consent discussions with patients and families.
