Job summary

MBK Senior Living is hiring a part-time Medication Technician to document, deliver, and administer medications to residents with strong customer service and adherence to all policies and regulations.

The role requires versatility to assist in daily living activities, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with pharmacy and physicians. Schedule: Sundays and Mondays, 2pm–10pm, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Caregiver Certification required.
• Experience handling medications preferred.
• Health screening and negative TB test results within last 6 months or within 7 days of employment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• HIPAA compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medications, treatments and care per policy, procedures and regulations.
• Observe, verify and document medication ingestion or application as directed.
• Notify supervisor if medication is not administered as directed and document reasons.
• Maintain confidential records on resident medication and care.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy and physician; verify dosages.
• Prepare medications for distribution up to 24 hours in advance.
• Participate in narcotic counts and report discrepancies.
• Assist caregivers and residents in daily living activities as needed.
• Respond promptly to resident needs with dignity and respect.
• Perform safety checks and respond to alerts; ensure resident safety and comfort.
