Job summary

The Cleveland Museum of Natural History is seeking a Community Educator (Part Time) in Cleveland, OH to deliver scientific programs to diverse communities. You will bridge knowledge gaps and empower underserved groups using Museum resources.

Responsibilities include hands-on workshops, collaboration with scientists and curators, building local partnerships, and evaluating program impact through feedback. A Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years' experience are required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver scientific programming tailored to community needs.
  • Facilitate hands-on workshops and seminars in community settings.
  • Adapt programs for underserved audiences and collaborate with researchers.
  • Build partnerships with local organizations and agencies for outreach.
  • Represent community interests in discussions with Museum staff.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness via surveys and feedback.
  • Travel to Northeast Ohio locations to deliver education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
