Job summary

Valley of the Sun YMCA in Phoenix is seeking an Assistant Program Manager to support youth development and healthy living initiatives, ensuring programs meet community needs and operate within approved budgets.

This part-time role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 1–2 years related work, and proven ability to relate to diverse groups; you will recruit staff, help schedule classes, and expand programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to be in ratio 6-7 hours each shift.
• Ensures programs and services meet community needs and expands program activities.
• Assists in recruiting and hiring diverse staff and volunteer teams across multiple dimensions of diversity.
• Models relationship-building skills and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.
• Assist with managing the program budget and scheduling classes, activities, or events.
