Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking a part-time Dining Assistant to support community meals for seniors and home-delivered meals in the Little Falls area. You will coordinate daily meal service, assist volunteers, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for diners and guests.

Qualifications include 6 months to 1 year of related food service or hosting experience, ability to read and follow verbal instructions, and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily meal service operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of nutritious meals to homebound seniors or vulnerable adults.
• Manage volunteer scheduling, training, and retention to maintain efficient meal distribution and positive client experiences.
• Maintain accurate client and volunteer records, meal counts, and program documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct client outreach and connect clients with additional community resources.
• Collaborate with community partners and healthcare providers to expand services and improve program effectiveness.
• Monitor food safety standards and ensure compliance with sanitation and health regulations.
• Resolve client and volunteer concerns promptly, fostering strong relationships and high satisfaction levels.
