Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Facility Monitor for Community Schools in Anoka, MN. This part-time, casual position provides general supervision of school buildings during non-school hours to ensure safety and orderly use of facilities.

You will supervise Community Education programs, assist the public, operate A/V equipment as needed, and support event rentals. A high school diploma and at least one year of related experience are required, with the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
• Must be physically working in the building.
• Ability to provide supervision and security.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimum direct supervision.
• Ability to work a flexible, changing schedule.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
• Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide general building supervision during Community Education programs, community use of facility, rental events, and activities.
• Assure areas are locked or unlocked as appropriate.
• Assist public with information and provide directions and other assistance as needed.
• Work with audio/visual equipment/computers as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
