The Japanese American Service Committee (JASC) is seeking a Part-Time Custodian & Handyman to keep our building clean, safe, and welcoming for community members and staff in Chicago. This role covers daily cleaning, basic repairs, and event setup.

2+ years in custodial or building maintenance preferred; ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work some evenings/weekends, and pass a background check. Hourly rate $18.00–$20.00, part-time (20–25 hrs/week).

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial work or building maintenance
• Proficient in basic carpentry, plumbing, painting repairs
• Comfort with using cleaning and maintenance tools
• Ability to operate around commercial mechanical systems
