Job summary

The City of Homer is seeking a Part-Time Community Development Associate to join our team. This 24 hours/week position provides essential administrative support to the Community Development Department and helps move the department toward paperless operations.

The right candidate will handle public inquiries and assist with department functions. The position requires an accredited two-year degree or equivalent, plus a minimum of three years of public-facing work.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited two-year college or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three years paid experience in public-facing work.
• Graphic programs such as Canva or InDesign desirable. Accurate keyboarding skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Community Development Department.
• Provide technical information to the public on addressing, Mobile Food Permits and other department activities and functions.
• Emphasis on helping the Department become paperless in day-to-day operations.
