Job summary

Journey Bank is seeking a part-time Community Banking Associate I to support paying and receiving functions at the Montoursville Branch. The role emphasizes customer service, accuracy in handling deposits and payments, and cross-selling banking products.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior banking or customer service experience preferred. Candidates should have solid communication skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Hours are 25–29 per week, on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Banking experience is a plus.
• Moderate reading, writing and grammar skills; analytical and mathematical ability.
• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate various office machines and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Accept deposits and cash checks; process utility bill payments.
• Sell treasurer checks, money orders, and similar instruments.
• Accept loan payments and safe deposit box rent; other related payments.
• Process night deposits and mail deposits.
• Identify new business opportunities and refer customers to appropriate staff.
• Support adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
