Job summary

Journey Bank in Danville is seeking a part-time Community Banking Associate to join our local team. This on-site role supports paying and receiving functions at the Danville Community Office, with hours Monday–Friday plus some Saturdays, totaling 25–29 hours per week.

You will greet customers, handle deposits and cash checks, process loan payments and other related payments, promote opportunities, and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; banking education preferred.
• Previous cash handling, banking and customer service experience preferred.
• Strong reading, writing, and math skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate office machines.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Accept deposits, cash checks and pay utility bills.
• Sell treasurer checks, money orders, etc.
• Accept loan payments, safe deposit box rent and related payments.
• Process night deposits and mail deposits.
• Identify new business opportunities and refer customers to appropriate staff.
• Support adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements (BSA/CRA/EOA).

Community Banking Associate - Part-time

We are seeking a part-time Community Banking Associate to join our team and work on-site at our Danville Community Office.

The Community Banking Associate performs a variety of duties to support the paying and receiving functions of the community branch.

Essential Responsibilities:

• 1. Greet and serve customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• 2. Accept deposits, cash checks and accept utility bill payments.
• 3. Sell treasurer checks, money orders, etc.
• 4. Accept loan payments, safe deposit box rent and other related payments.
• 5. Process night deposits and mail deposits.
• 6. Maintains awareness of new business opportunities with customers, actively refers customers to appropriate customer service personnel.
• 7. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness, and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; specialized banking education or training.
• Previous cash handling, banking experience, and customer service experience preferred.
• Moderate reading, writing and grammar skills, analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficient communicative and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to operate various office machines.
• Ability to lift approximately 50lbs.

Hours:

Monday - Friday, Some Saturdays, 25-29 hours per week, based on Danville Community Office Hours.
