Job summary

Salt Lake Community College is seeking a part-time transportation professional to drive college passenger vans, shuttles, and coaches for campus events and athletics trips. Trips may occur on weekdays, nights, early mornings, and weekends, with routes across Utah and neighboring states as requested.

This role requires safe driving, ADA lift operation, and strong customer service to support diverse students and staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of commercial driving laws, regulations, and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of defensive driving techniques and passenger transportation best practices.
• Understanding of ADA requirements and safe passenger assistance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive 12-passenger vans, shuttle buses with ADA lifts, 28- to 40-passenger coaches, and up to 58-passenger motor coaches.
• Communicate effectively with a broad range of people and maintain positive working relationships across the College.
• Support diverse student, faculty, and staff populations and ensure passenger safety and comfort during trips.
