Job summary

The University of Utah is seeking a Vehicle Operator as a part-time student role within Commuter Services - Operations. You will shuttle on fixed routes and assist ADA services, serving the campus community from the campus location in Salt Lake City. 20 hours per week, day shifts, with paid CDL training and testing.

Must be a current University of Utah student, be at least 21 years old, and pass a background check and drug screen. Professional conduct and punctuality are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a current University of Utah student.
• Paid CDL training and testing.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operate a shuttle bus and smaller passenger vehicles on fixed routes and ADA service.
• Load and secure wheelchair passengers using lifts and tie downs.
• Inspect equipment daily for damage and safety issues.
• Complete the Daily Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) in writing.
• Be punctual, follow schedules, and arrive in uniform at least 15 minutes early.
• Provide safe, courteous, and professional service to the campus community.
