Job summary

The College of Southern Nevada invites applicants for employment as part-time instructional faculty in physical education. Instructors will teach courses designed to develop athletes to compete at intercollegiate levels; courses may be offered across multiple campuses and delivered in person with day or evening options.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise, or adaptive physical education; or, bachelor’s degree in physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise, or adaptive physical education; or, possess a combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent to the above.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Instruct in various physical education courses designed to teach and develop athletes to compete at intercollegiate levels.
• Course assignments may be multi-campus with the possibility of day or evening classes. Courses are delivered in person.
• Develop lesson plans, syllabus, and course materials with Program Director.
• Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
• Provide excellent teaching experience, student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
