Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in the subject field or equivalent.
• Alternative qualifications listed for specialized fields as allowed by accrediting bodies.
• Experience teaching at the community college or postsecondary level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned credit courses in accordance with outlines, syllabi, and objectives.
• Prepare instruction materials, learning activities, and assessments for the course modality (in-person, hybrid, or online).
• Deliver instruction using effective teaching strategies to engage students.
• Assess student performance, grade work, provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate academic records, including attendance and grades.
• Report midterm and final grades by deadlines using designated systems.
• Communicate course expectations and learning outcomes clearly to students.
• Maintain office hours as defined by the department to support students.
• Respond to student and colleague inquiries within department timeframes.
• Use LMS and instructional technologies as required to support learning.
