Job summary

Eaton Aerospace Group is seeking a part-time CNC Setup Machinist for our North Charleston, SC facility. The role involves leading changeovers on mills and lathes, setting up tools, and ensuring quality during production runs.

Ideal candidates have a technical machining education or journeyman certification, experience with CNCs, and strong GD&T and shop math skills. Flexible shifts served by a 24-hour site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years operating CNC lathes and/or mills in a manufacturing environment.
• 1 year setting up CNC lathes and/or mills.
• No immigration sponsorship for CPT/OPT/STEM OPT/H-1B etc.
• Residence within 50 miles of North Charleston, SC.
• Must be a U.S. person under export regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup/changeover between production runs on CNC mills and lathes.
• Operate selected machines through production run while ensuring quality parts.
• Set tools, retrieve/input programs, and establish work offsets.
• Read and reset CNC programs; input axis coordinates up to 3 axes.
• Utilize GD&T to adjust work offsets and ensure part quality.
