Job summary

Power Center Academy High School in Memphis is seeking an experienced nursing instructor to deliver the TCAT CNA curriculum, supervise clinicals, and assess student progress within a 12‑week, 120‑hour program.

RN preferred; an LPN with required instructional qualifications will be considered. The role is a part‑time, independent contractor position, coordinating with TCAT and school staff to ensure program standards and successful student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN or LPN licensure; RN preferred.
• Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience, including at least one year in long‑term care.
• Demonstrated teaching, training, or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 60 hours of classroom instruction using the TCAT CNA curriculum.
• Provide 60 hours of clinical instruction and supervision at a long‑term care facility.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, grades, and program documentation.
• Coordinate with TCAT representatives and school personnel regarding schedule and documentation.
• Prepare and grade assignments; provide timely feedback on student performance.
• Ensure 120 instructional hours are completed within the 12‑week program period.
