Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a CNA to provide resident care in a skilled nursing facility setting in Wisconsin. The role requires basic CNA duties, documentation of patient status, and assistance with daily activities under nursing supervision.

Shifts are the second shift, 4 shifts per week, with alternate weekends and holidays. A valid CNA certification and CPR/BLS are required, along with ongoing education in safety and dementia care.

Qualifications

• One year CNA experience.
• Continued education including communication and interpersonal skills.
• Safety and Emergency Procedures, including Heimlich Maneuver.
• SNF based CNA skills.
• Mental health and social services of residents.
• Personal care skills.
• Care of cognitively impaired residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care as assigned and per routine.
• Document cognitive patterns, mood, and behavior in the medical record.
• Perform daily ROM exercises and assist transfers, bathing, dressing, grooming, ambulation, toileting, and eating.
• Assist residents to attend activities of their choice.
• Maintain cleanliness of work and patient environments.
• Maintain supplies and inventory; float to units as needed.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
• Provide leadership and training to new CNAs.
