Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

Maintains infection prevention and safety protocols and assists with activities of daily living. Good Samaritan in Westbrook, MN is hiring for Part Time Days with a block schedule including every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or in process of certification within four months.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, feeding, mobility, and monitoring vital signs.
• Document care and communicate changes to the charge nurse; maintain infection control practices.
