Job summary

Good Samaritan in Windom, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in long-term care under RN supervision. Duties include bathing, feeding, vital signs, and daily living activities, with attention to infection control and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Required CNA certification with State Board of Nursing; certification within four months if not yet obtained.
• CNA training and certification provided by the facility.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Continuing education: at least 12 hours annually; maintain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques.
• Assist with meals and dining; monitor intake and provide hydration as needed.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Support infection prevention, use PPE, and participate in wellness/recreational programs.
