Job summary

Distinctive Living seeks a Certified Medication Aide (CMA), part-time, for Mira Vie at Bridgewater in Bridgewater, NJ. The CMA will provide medication management and ADL assistance to residents, under supervision of the Director, Health and Wellness, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, accurate documentation, and collaboration with healthcare professionals and families to support residents’ well-being in a supportive community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a caregiving role.
• State-required HHA Certification or CNA License.
• Supervisory experience of at least 6 months in a health-related field.
• Ability to read physician orders and match them to MARs for residents.
• Understanding of medical terminology to pass medications and communicate with providers.

Responsibilities

• Follow services outlined in each resident's service plan and pass medications per physician orders.
• Document completion of daily tasks.
• Document observed changes in residents' condition per local regulations.
• Communicate resident needs to other Medication Aides for consistent care.
• Assist in meal service including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining area.
• Supervise staff during shifts.
• Maintain required certifications and attend in-service trainings.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and Bloodborne Pathogen guidelines in daily work.
