Job summary

Excel Fitness in Front Royal, VA seeks a part-time Team Player to maintain a clean, welcoming gym environment and assist with member services. You will handle check-ins, inventory, and basic admin tasks while ensuring safety and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification and AED Certification are required before working alone; training available within 30 days if not certified.
• Must be comfortable standing for long periods.
• Great communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Must be team-oriented, motivated, and well-organized.
• Ability to think critically and evaluate solutions to problems proactively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and using a computer.
• Must handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Familiar with Excel’s mission, values, vision, and culture, as well as the Planet Fitness brand and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Submit a Sub Availability Form upon hire and update it at least seven days in advance if availability changes.
• Maintain communication with club management and reply within 24 hours regarding shifts.
• Perform to best ability during assigned shift and maintain club cleanliness.
• Stay proficient in Planet Fitness mobile app use and updates.
• Ensure proper training is completed to operate safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular audits to keep club presentable and aligned with Excel standards.
• Perform walkarounds and complete cleaning or related tasks, then re-inspect.
