Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Part-Time Closing Assistant Manager in Michigan. The role supports store operations, customer service, and team development, with duties spanning daily activities, merchandise handling, and closing procedures.

You will assist in ordering merchandise, manage loss prevention, and help supervise and develop Store Associates to maintain a safe, energetic shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and store policies.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
