Spring Semester 2027 offers morning or evening Thursday and Friday shifts, with competitive per-hour compensation for BSN or MSN holders. The incumbent will facilitate maternal child clinical learning, supervise student care in hospital settings,

Qualifications

• MA Registered nurse license in good standing.
• Master's degree in Nursing is preferred or required as listed.
• BSN faculty must be matriculated in a graduate nursing program within one year of appointment with expected graduation within five years.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student learning in the maternal child clinical setting.
• Supervise students in the delivery of safe, evidence-based nursing care to hospitalized patients.
• Teach clinical reasoning, patient assessment, medication administration, care planning, and interdisciplinary communication.
• Evaluate student performance according to program learning outcomes, clinical objectives, and nursing standards.
• Provide and document formative and summative feedback on clinical competencies.
• Collaborate with nursing faculty and agency personnel to ensure quality clinical learning.
• Communicate with Course Team Leader and Department Chair weekly regarding student outcomes.

Part-Time Clinical Nursing Instructor,Maternal Child Nursing (Maternity)

Campus Location: Clinical agency

Work Schedule: Spring Semester 2027, 7:00 am to 1:00 PM or 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM Thursdays and Fridays

SALARY: $72.45per hour BSN, $80.73per hour MSN or higher degree

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

• Facilitate student learning in the maternal child clinical setting.
• Supervise students in the delivery of safe, evidence-based nursing care to hospitalized patients.
• Teach clinical reasoning, patient assessment, medication administration, care planning, and interdisciplinary communication.
• Evaluate student performance in accordance with program learning outcomes, clinical objectives, and professional nursing standards.
• Providing and document formative and summative feedback regarding student achievement of clinical competencies.
• Collaborating with nursing faculty and healthcare agency personnel to ensure a quality clinical learning experience.
• Communicate with Course Team Leader and Department Chair on a weekly basis regarding student achievement of clinical outcomes.

Requirements:

• MA Registered nurse license in good standing.
• Master's degree in Nursing with a minimum of 2 years full time nursing employment in the last 5 years. or Baccalaureate degree in nursing with a minimum of five years full-time Registered Nurse experience within the last eight years, BSN faculty must be matriculated in a graduate nursing program within one year of appointment with an expected graduation date within five years of the date of matriculation; or - obtain a current Nurse Education certification by a Board recognized certifying organization within three years of appointment. An earned Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Candidate must clear a 10 panel urine drug screen per clinical placement policy as a condition of employment.
• Evidence of competence in clinical area of Maternal Child Nursing
• BLS Health Provider Level certification from American Heart Association required.
• Candidate must clear a 10 panel urine drug screen per clinical placement policy as a condition of employment.
• Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National Background Check as a condition of employment.
• Candidates must submit documentation of Department of Public Health required Immunizations for Health Care Providers
