Job summary

CALRegional seeks a part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Lead Instructor to join our team in Petaluma, CA. The role focuses on delivering instruction, supporting student outcomes, and maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge. The eight-to-ten week programs run during weekday mornings, with a hybrid on-site/remote schedule.

Minimum 5 years in medical assisting is required; certification in CPR is expected. The position offers a flexible, supportive environment and pay between $30-$34 per hour.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field required.
• Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
• Front office experience.
• Back-office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience.
• No teaching experience required
• Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
• Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
• Comfortable with computers and technology.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Advanced student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline.
• Assist in student learning outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
• Facilitate all required skill labs with an assistant skill instructor
• Grade class assignments and exams.
