Job summary

CALRegional is seeking a part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Lead Instructor in Salinas, CA to help train aspiring healthcare professionals. The role emphasizes delivering engaging instruction with a ready-to-use course outline and real-world skill labs.

The position requires a minimum of 5 years in medical assisting and current CPR certification. Evening classes run Monday through Thursday from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm, with a supportive team and opportunities for bonuses and professional growth.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related field.
• Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
• Front office experience; Back-office procedures including EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound care.
• Current CPR certification; No teaching experience required

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction by following the established course outline to support student learning outcomes.
• Assist in achieving student learning outcomes and maintain knowledge of the subject matter.
• Maintain professionalism and conduct, and mentor students to program standards.
• Facilitate required skill labs with an assistant instructor and grade class assignments and exams.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Lead Instructor to join our team.We are interested in candidates who are looking to work for a company that is passionate about changing lives and helping build the essential workforce! The Clinical Medical Assistant Programs run for 8-10 weeks. Applicants must be available during our weekday evening schedule. The evening schedule is as follows:

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5:30 pm-9:00 pm

Location: Salinas, CA

Duties & Responsibilities

• Advanced student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline.
• Assist in student learning outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
• Facilitate all required skill labs with an assistant skill instructor
• Grade class assignments and exams.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field required.
• Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
• Front office experience.
• Back-office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience.
• No teaching experience required
• Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
• Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
• Comfortable with computers and technology.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Current CPR certification.
