Qualifications

• Clear communication in English (read, write, speak) for safety and care of patients.
• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required for patient care.
• Must have: Certified Nursing Assistant, nursing student with one medical-surgical rotation, 3 months clinical care experience, or completion of Winchester Hospital: Clinical Associate Training Program (CATP).

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients.
• Reposition and ambulate patients.
• Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
• Assist in transporting patients, beds, supplies, and equipment.
• Collect, label, and transport specimens.
• Retrieve and sign out blood products.
• Accurately perform point-of-care testing.
• Obtain vital signs and weights.
• Maintain accurate intake and output measurements.
• Remove Foley catheters and saline locks.
