Job summary

WellsColeman, a Richmond-based business advisory, tax, and accounting firm, seeks a Client Accounting Advisor to support outsourced accounting on-site. The role offers immediate client contact, growth opportunities, and a path toward full-time.

Minimum commitment is 25 hours per week with potential expansion in the future. You will handle banking reconciliations, payroll, tax returns, and financial reporting while leveraging QuickBooks Online and cloud-based tools to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of industry-related experience required, preferably in a professional services or public accounting firm.
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required.
Degree in Accounting is required.

Responsibilities

Reconcile bank accounts and credit card accounts.
Reconcile subsidiary accounts to control accounts.
Post periodic transactions and adjusting journal entries to accounting software.
Prepare payroll and payroll tax returns.
Prepare sales and other local tax returns (e.g., 1099s).
Prepare periodic financial statements and customized financial reports.
Maintain and review General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
Advise clients on accounting, tax, and financial matters.
Analyze financial statements for trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement.
Assist clients with QuickBooks Online setup, training, and troubleshooting.
