CUHK Department of Medicine and Therapeutics seeks a Part-time Clerical Assistant to support postgraduate and sub-degree programmes. The appointee will provide administrative support to an onsite programme held one evening per week and on alternate Saturdays, and will travel between Shatin and Ma On Shan for evening sessions.
Qualifications include secondary education, fast Chinese and English typing, strong interpersonal skills, and experience in programme administration in academic settings;
The appointee will be required to look after postgraduate and sub-degree programmes. Duties include (a) providing administrative support to the onsite programme held one evening per week and on alternate Saturdays; (b) travelling between 2 locations for programme administration in Shatin and Ma On Shan for evening sessions; and (c) performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor and Programme Director.
Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education; (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (iii) fast and accurate Chinese and English typing skill; (iv) good interpersonal skill with a flexible mindset; (v) a good command of English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua); (vi) the willingness to work cooperatively with the team; (vii) experience in programme administration in academic institutions; and (viii) a mature and responsible manner in dealing with academic and student matters.
Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
