Job summary

The Jewish Community Campus in Overland Park is seeking a part-time environmental services worker to help keep our facility clean, safe, and welcoming. Shifts are evenings and weekends, typically 4 hours on weekdays and broader windows on weekends, with a flexible schedule based on availability.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and cleaning experience, with the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and follow safety and cleaning protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years of professional/commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods as well as carry up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions and to give verbal and written responses.
• Able to read and follow work requests, product use instructions, and product safety information.
• Able to use basic office technology such as email and Teams messaging.

Responsibilities

• Clean windows, glass, floors, and restrooms including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sinks and countertops.
• Restock supplies such as tissue, paper towels, soap.
• Gather trash and empty bins.
• Perform deep cleaning projects as assigned.
• Keep cart and supplies stocked and organized when not in use.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow building security procedures for locking doors and securing areas.
• Respond to spills and hazards promptly and professionally.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and events as needed.
