Job summary

The J is seeking a part-time Environmental Services worker in Overland Park, KS. The role focuses on cleaning and maintaining a welcoming facility, with evenings and weekend shifts and a 4-hour pattern on weekdays.

Responsibilities include cleaning, restocking supplies, trash removal, and participating in team activities. Prior cleaning experience and a high school diploma are preferred; physical fitness to lift up to 35 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1+ years professional/commercial cleaning experience preferred
• Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions and respond accordingly
• Able to use basic office technology such as email and Teams messaging

Responsibilities

• Clean windows, glass, floors and restrooms, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sinks, countertops, and stalls
• Restock supplies such as tissue, paper towels, soap
• Gather and dispose of trash
• Perform deep cleaning projects as assigned
• Keep cart and supplies stocked and organized
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and maintain equipment properly
• Follow building security procedures
• Respond to spills and hazards promptly
• Participate in team meetings, trainings and events
• Notify facilities of maintenance concerns
• Other duties as assigned
