Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Protecting God's Children training required.
• Mandated Reporter Training required.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to follow teacher directions with fairness and patience.
• Good writing and communication with students and teachers.
• Clear background checks as required by PA ACT 153.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional reinforcement to students under the teacher’s guidance.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and decor and copying tasks.
• Perform classroom clerical duties including filing, lunch/milk counts, and distributing papers.
• Escort students to and from restrooms, classes, recess, and lunch.
• Prepare and clean up after snack time.
• Supervise students before and after school, including recess, lunch, and dismissal.
• Communicate parental concerns to the teacher and maintain confidentiality.
• Attend in-service days and meetings as directed by the Principal.
• Interact professionally with administrators, faculty, and staff; support the total education program.
• Follow all Diocese of Allentown and St. Jerome Regional School policies.
• Other duties as assigned by Principal or Teacher.
