Reporting Functions: Reports to the assigned Teacher and school Principal
Job Function: Provides instructional and clerical support for classroom teachers allowing teachers more time for lesson planning and teaching. They support and assist students in learning class material using the teacher's lesson plans, providing students with individualized attention.

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear; frequent use of equipment including repetitive motions and computer eye fatigue; possible biological exposure to bacteria and communicable diseases. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, small children (weights vary by classroom level), and other classroom equipment; may occasionally climb stairs or ladders. Must be able to sit on the floor, bend, and stoop to work with the children. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word: hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities.
Normal classroom setting; part-time (10-month) position as determined by the needs of the program on a yearly basis. School working hours are 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM; 25 hours a week. May be required to assist with special duties and work outside the normal school day to attend school-related events.
