Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with students and teachers.
• Demonstrates patience and fairness in classroom settings.
• Awareness of child development and classroom dynamics.
• Willingness to follow a teacher's directions.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional reinforcement to students under the direction of the teacher.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials, supplies, copying, and bulletin boards.
• Perform classroom clerical duties including filing, counts, and distributing papers.
• Escort students to and from restrooms, classes, recess, and lunch.
• Prepare and clean up after snack time.
• Supervise students before and after school day, including recess and dismissal.
• Communicate with parents about student progress, maintaining confidentiality.
• Attend in-service days and meetings as specified by the Principal.
• Interact respectfully with administrators, faculty and staff; support education program.
• Follow all policies of The Diocese of Allentown and St. Anne School.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Principal or Teacher.
