Job summary

East Texas A&M University in Commerce, TX is seeking a Student Worker to support the CITE-IT environment as a Support Technician. You will help faculty, staff and students with technology needs across classrooms, labs, and offices, including projectors, Windows desktops, and iMac workstations.

The role requires basic hardware and software knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to document processes. A resume submitted on Handshake is required to be considered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Windows OS, Zoom, Office, and Outlook.
• Basic hardware troubleshooting and driver issues.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resolving tickets via remote or on-site at front desk.
• Perform basic software re-imaging, installations, and driver updates.
• Assist with device setup, deployment, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Help create and document troubleshooting articles and processes.
• Support software access and account provisioning.
• Assist with basic AV troubleshooting.
• Other duties as assigned.
