Job summary

Mehlville School District's Information Technology Services in St. Louis, MO seeks a System Support Specialist Intern in the Technology Department. The role supports district-wide Chromebook distribution, maintenance, and troubleshooting under a flexible 20 hours/week schedule.

You’ll work with students and staff, assist with hardware and software issues, and help manage loaner devices and inventory. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates pursuing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently pursuing a degree in a related field preferred.
• Ability to work with computers, laptops and Chromebooks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot Chromebooks and chargers.
• Disassemble, reassemble and repair Chromebooks.
• Process and prepare new Chromebooks and chargers for distribution.
• Unbox large deliveries of Chromebooks or other hardware.
• Follow inventory procedures to maintain Chromebook and charger inventory.
• Enter work tickets for devices covered under warranty.
• Assist students and teachers with Chromebook and charger issues (hardware and software).
• Manage and maintain loaner devices for buildings.
• Regularly lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Other duties may be assigned.
