Job summary

Right At School, a program serving Ledyard Public Schools, is seeking a Part Time Childcare Educator. The role supports before/after school activities with a focus on safety, learning, and engaging daily programs.

The ideal candidate has customer service skills, teamwork, and experience with children under 13; must meet CT state requirements, have First Aid/CPR in person, and be able to lift 25 lbs. Programs run Monday–Friday with morning and afternoon shifts.

Qualifications

• Connecticut state requirements must be met, including First Aid and CPR.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18+ years of age and meet health and safety standards.
• At least 540 hours of related experience with children 13 and under.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and active in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings to review goals and progress.
• Organize and lead structured daily activities and curriculum.
• Provide safe, nurturing environment and positive guidance.
• Monitor safety, document attendance and incidents as needed.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, staff and school personnel.
