Job summary

Right At School in Chicopee, MA, seeks a Part Time Childcare Educator to support before and after school programs. You will organize activities, assist with curriculum, and foster a safe, engaging environment that encourages learning through play.

Ideal candidates bring customer service experience, teamwork, and a love for helping children grow. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $19.00 per hour, with hours 7:00 AM–8:30 AM and 2:30 PM–5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age; ability to lift 25lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
• Massachusetts requirements: First Aid and CPR in-person, tuberculosis test cleared, MMR proof, 18+ years of age.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with 3 months of experience with school-age children; or high school diploma with 6–9 months of experience; or nine months with 3 months supervised experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: review goals, updates, and progress with the team.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities aligned with program objectives.
• Lead structured daily fitness and curriculum, educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment and model positive guidance and classroom management.
• Monitor safety, address hazards, and document attendance and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
