Job summary

Armed Services YMCA of ALASKA is seeking a Part Time, permanent Child Watch staff member to ensure safe, engaging care for children while guardians attend on-site services. This role requires strong customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to manage registrations and logs.

The position supports a military family-oriented mission and involves daily interaction with children, coordinating room operations, and maintaining records with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Proficient typing and basic MS Office skills.
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail and changing clientele.
• Work environment ranges administrative areas, child care facilities, indoor/outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a safe and clean environment and provides activities for participants.
• Opens and closes CWR and/or Childwatch room as needed.
• Maintains appointments and reservations for CWR and/or Childwatch during operating hours.
• Reviews vaccination records and intake forms for each child.
• Checks participants in/out and ensures logs are signed.
