Positive Development in Matawan, NJ is seeking a Part-Time Child Development Specialist to work one-on-one with autistic children in home-based or center settings. You will coach, connect, and help kids grow their communication, social, and daily living skills through play and relationship-based interactions.

The role offers Direct Pay of $22-$28 per hour, admin pay of $20/hour, a flexible schedule (3–5 days, typically 3pm–8pm or weekends), paid drive time, mileage reimbursement, and paid

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (must be 18+)
• Valid driver's license + reliable transportation (30-40 min drive radius)
• Ability to perform physical tasks: playing on floor up to 2–3 hours, lifting up to 40 lbs

Responsibilities

• Build communication, social, and daily living skills through play and shared activities.
• Create meaningful connections that help children think, create, and engage with the world.
• Follow a relationship-based intervention model to achieve strong outcomes.
• Track progress by documenting session notes and goal outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with clinicians and supervisors to build clinical skills and confidence.
• Learn how evidence-based developmental care works in real life.
