Job summary

Positive Development is seeking a Part-Time Child Development Specialist in New Brunswick, NJ. You will work one-on-one with autistic children in home-based or center-based settings, coaching communication, social, and daily living skills through play and relationship-based interactions.

You'll be supported by experienced clinicians, receive paid training, and have opportunities for growth. Flexible evenings/weekends and reimbursed driving are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (30–40 min drive radius).
• Ability to perform physical tasks (play on floor up to 2–3 hours, lift up to 40 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children in homes and/or centers.
• Develop communication, social, and daily living skills through play.
• Follow a relationship-based intervention model to achieve outcomes.
• Document session notes and goals.
• Collaborate with clinicians and supervisors to build skills.
