Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Additional Education and experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum age: 21.
• Current Food Handlers Permit.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• CDA certification or training is beneficial.
• Ability to make decisions with patience and stamina around children.
• Immunization records and ability to pass a background check.
• Exceptional communication, teaching and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of stages of childhood development.
• Attentiveness to the needs and safety of children.

Responsibilities

• Nurture and care for children.
• Supervising and monitoring safety of children.
• Prepare meals and snacks for children.
• Help children maintain hygiene.
• Organize activities for learning and exploration.
• Foster age-appropriate learning and socialization.
• Maintain a safe workplace and report concerns.
• Ensure positive behavior guidance and discipline when needed.
• Keep records related to child care.
• Provide safe space for high school students to observe work in daycare.
