Job summary

Montgomery College is seeking part-time faculty to teach chemistry at Rockville, Germantown, and Takoma Park/Silver Spring campuses. You may teach introductory, general, organic chemistry or chemistry for non-majors with a varied schedule, including day, evening, weekend and summer sessions.

Applicants should have a Master’s in Chemistry or Biochemistry (PhD preferred) and demonstrate commitment to inclusion and multicultural competence.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline.
• Experience teaching introductory, general or organic chemistry.
• Commitment to belonging, inclusion and multicultural competence.
• Access to a personal computer with internet outside campus.
• Eligible to work in the United States without immigration sponsor.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned lecture, discussion and/or laboratory courses in chemistry.
• Teach a varied schedule including day, evening, weekend and accelerated sections.
• Follow department guidelines to ensure content coverage and student experience across sections.
• Administer, grade and provide feedback to students in a timely manner.
• Meet deadlines to submit mid-term and final grades.
