Qualifications

• Master's in chemistry (or equivalent) required.
• Bachelor's in chemistry or biochemistry AND Master's in biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical physics, physics, molecular biology or geochemistry required.
• Possess a valid California Community College credential, or equivalent.
• Equivalencies that the Department accepts as valid: Master's degree in a chemistry-related field that requires completion of coursework equivalent to a master's degree in chemistry with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Teach all assigned classes, including evening or off-campus assignments as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student enrollment, attendance, and academic progress.
• Assist in maintaining course outlines for each assigned course and observe administrative regulations.
• Participate in department committees and activities; teach a variety of courses within the discipline.

Education

Master's in chemistry

Bachelor's in chemistry or biochemistry AND Master's in biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical physics, physics, molecular biology or geochemistry

California Community College credential, or equivalent
