Job summary

Coastal Surgery Center in Santa Barbara, CA seeks a Part-Time Charge RN to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight of the surgery center. Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring coverage for breaks.

Tasks span Pre-Op, OR, PACU, and sterile processing with focus on safety and compliance. The Charge RN will work with the Director of Nursing on daily operations, staff education, and regulatory activities while maintaining PHI and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in state of California.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Current ACLS certificate.
• At least 2 years nursing experience.
• Full command of the English language, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing personnel and oversee OR flow.
• Maintain daily OR staff schedule and procedure flow; manage breaks.
• Troubleshoot daily problems and report to Medical Director and CS Specialist.
• Lead QAPI committee and participate in quality improvement studies.
• Ensure PHI/HIPAA compliance and center confidentiality.
• Coordinate recovery room/OR activities for safe preop and PACU care.
• Oversee staff education, training, and orientation for Pre-Op/PACU/OR.
• Coordinate staffing and facilities, supplies, and equipment.
