Job summary

MCHAP is seeking a Part-Time Chaplain to serve employees and their families at various client worksites in the Luray, VA area. The role emphasizes spiritual support, confidential conversations, and coordination of ministry services in a remote, field-based capacity.

You will perform regular visits, provide crisis and grief support, and assist with funerals and life-issues guidance. A Christian lifestyle and Bible understanding are expected, with strong interpersonal skills for diverse groups.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to work in an interfaith setting and with diverse groups.
• Excellent oral and written communication; able to document accurately.
• Strong pastoral care skills; ability to provide confidential discussions.
• Willingness to visit worksites and provide support in emergencies, grief, and life issues.

Responsibilities

• Makes regular visits to company worksites to interact with employees and build relationships.
• Provides confidential pastoral discussions for personal issues.
• Assists in planning or attending funerals and provides follow-up support during grief.
• Supports notifications of death and serious injuries to families.
• Represents the ministry at orientation and interacts with executives as needed.
• Remote field position with responsibilities across client worksites.
