Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician I to support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services. Under the supervision of the Pharmacist or Technician Supervisor, you will prepare and distribute medications, assist with inventory, maintain records, and operate automated systems.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma.
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician/Intern with the Board by start date.
• Must be certified by examination (PTCB or exCPT) within 6 months.
• None required; 6 months–1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacy services including preparing and distributing pharmaceuticals.
• Perform inventory control and maintain pharmacy records.
• Offer customer service and operate/monitor automated pharmacy technology systems.
• Data entry tasks for the Outpatient/Retail Pharmacy Technician I (transcription and entry).
• Resolve insurance claim issues and contact providers as appropriate for the pharmacist.
