Boston Medical Center (BMC) is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician I for the Yawkey Outpatient Pharmacy. This per diem position involves preparing and dispensing medications, operating automated systems, inventory management, and daily quality audits while ensuring high-quality customer service and accurate records.

You will train staff under supervision and support the Pharmacy Managers and Technician Supervisor to uphold BMC’s mission of exceptional, equitable care.

Qualificações

• Must maintain national technician certification (PTCB or exCPT).
• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MA Board of Pharmacy by hire date.
• Pharmacy students with 2 years of college in a pharmacy program may be eligible for an internship.
• 6 months to 1 year of work experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs data entry tasks such as prescription transcription and entry; resolves third party insurance issues; contacts providers as needed.
• Prepares prescription orders timely; retrieves, counts, measures and prepares medications under pharmacist review.
• Supports pharmacist services to ensure correct dispensing and optimal patient care.
